Part 1 of the Golden State Killer - The Visalia Ransacker and the E.A.R.
Joseph DeAngelo, also known as the East Area R*pist (EAR), was a notorious predator in California during the 1970s and 1980s. He was responsible for at least 13 murders, over 50 sexual assaults, and numerous burglaries.
DeAngelo's crimes were particularly brutal, with many of his victims being tied up and tortured before being assaulted or killed. He targeted women who lived alone or with children, often stalking them for weeks before attacking. He was known for his use of a variety of weapons, including knives, guns, and ropes.
This episode focuses on the years 1975 - 1979 when the Visalia Ransacker and the EAR were most prevalent.
